Keys to Remember for New and Continuing Students
- Your financial aid is determined on an annual basis. You will need to complete the application process every year as you continue your program of study.
- Once you are registered for classes, you will be sent a registration statement detailing your account charges and confirmed financial aid for the semester.
Simpson University is dedicated to helping students successfully complete the process of applying for financial aid and paying account balances. The university welcomes questions as well as the opportunity to assist all students with any aspect of this process.
Six Easy Steps for New Students
- Fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov (School Code: 001291)
- Complete your application for admissions
- Submit $100 advanced tuition deposit after acceptance
- School of Education students only, meet with School of Education staff and complete your advisement sheet. A copy will be submitted to Student Financial Services.
- Watch your mail for these two letters: Financial Aid Award Letter and Simpson University student account login information.*
- Login to your Simpson University Web Advisor account and click on 'Request Stafford Loans' under the 'Financial Aid' tab. Complete your Stafford Loan request and proceed to www.studentloans.gov to complete your Master Promissory Notice (MPN) and Entrance Counseling.**
*You will not be able to complete step 6 until steps 1-5 are fully completed.
**During this process Student Financial Services may request additional documentation from you. Please return all requested documentation in a timely manner in order to prevent delays in the determination of your aid eligibility and to ensure timely processing of the funds for which you are determined eligible.
